Construction vehicle brake system monitoring

Non-contact position sensors monitor brake wear to maintain safety

Position sensors provide information to monitor brake wear and other systems

Heavy earth moving equipment such as dump trucks, bulldozers or other specialist vehicles endure high loading and prolonged exposure to harsh environments. All need to run reliably and perform optimally in order to deliver against tight construction timetables.

Non-contact position sensors are used to define and update accurate relative positions of mechanical components even in harsh environmental conditions. Non-contact position sensors can be used to convey steering position, position of suspension components, cab angle and brake condition.
