Earlier this month, we attended SPE Offshore Europe in Aberdeen, one of the world’s largest technical conference and exhibition for offshore and E&P (exploration and production).
The 4 day event had over 63,000 international attendees, 1,500 exhibitors and hundreds of new product developments from across the industry. We spent the week supporting PCMS Engineering, a provider of advanced maintenance and asset management solutions, as they demonstrated our new Oil Debris Sensor to visitors.
Gill’s Oil Debris Sensor uses inductive and capacitive technology to continuously monitor ferrous wear and failure particles, water in oil contamination and oil presence within gearboxes and transmissions. With 4 measurement options, multiple output signals and easy installation, the Oil Debris Sensor provides an early warning of mechanical failure preventing unplanned downtime and providing a true cost of ownership.
The sensor received extremely positive feedback from customers who saw the benefits that the product can offer them for a modest financial investment. Gavin Marsden, Managing Director at PCMS comments “The Oil debris sensor proved to be very popular with lots of interest generated, we look forward to the final product later this year.”
