High temperature liquid level sensing
High temperature liquid level sensing
Capacitive liquid level sensor specifically designed for the marine industry. The sensor offers an NMEA2000 compliant CANBUS output with an integrated electronics temperature range of -40 °C to +125°C.
The Marine liquid Level Sensor features Gill’s proven capacitive sensing technology to measure the level of liquid inside a tank. With no moving parts to break or jam, the solid-state sensor is specially designed to offer long term reliability to a wide range of marine applications. The new sensor is particularly suited to large leisure boats, workboats, inshore commercial vessels and other harsh marine applications where high accuracy of fuel consumption is vital.
Unlike other sensors, the integrated electronics of the sensor offers a maximum operating temperature range of +125°C exceeding others in the market. The new sensor is developed with a marine standard 316 stainless steel construction and is able to withstand the potential damage caused by excessive temperature, heavy vibration and shock load.
Being a solid-state, capacitive device, the sensor is resilient to surface fluid disturbance in the tank, thereby producing a stable and constant output reading.
The Marine Liquid Level Sensor also features an Industry recognised NMEA 2000 compliant output allowing ‘plug and play’ compatibility within a network of electronic devices. This output connects multiple devices using CANBUS technology to communicate data between sensors and instruments, delivering greater flexibility and data capacity to a range of networking systems.
The sensor offers both SAE 5-bolt and 1.25” thread mounting for easy installation and is available up to 2m long. The marine sensor provides an extremely durable sensing solution to a wide variety of demanding marine applications which require long term reliability and high accuracy level measurement.
